Sarah Sanders

My core model is Psychosynthesis, one of the transpersonal therapies.  I work in an eclectic way using different therapeutic techniques from various theories, including Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and REBT.  I see clients as the “whole” person, and work holistically to include the mind, body and spirit.

I like to work creatively using art therapy, symbolism and visualisation techniques to help my clients.  I use the most appropriate skill to fit my clients’ needs.  Long and short-term therapy is available.

abuse | self harm | eating disorders | self-esteem | sexuality | bullying
domestic violence | relationships | bereavement | anger | workplace stress

I follow the B.A.C.P.’s standards of practice and ethical code.  These include avoidance of harm so that the client is not exploited.  The client’s safety is of paramount importance during counselling.

There is the counsellor’s competence.  ‘Counsellors shall take all reasonable steps to monitor and develop their own competence and to work within the limits of that competence’.  To find out more about the B.A.C.P.’s code of ethics you may access their website at: www.bacp.co.uk
