Sarah Sanders

My core model is Psychosynthesis, one of the transpersonal therapies.  I work in an eclectic way using different therapeutic techniques from various theories, including Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and REBT.  I see clients as the “whole” person, and work holistically to include the mind, body and spirit.

I like to work creatively using art therapy, symbolism and visualisation techniques to help my clients.  I use the most appropriate skill to fit my clients’ needs.  Long and short-term therapy is available.

abuse | self harm | eating disorders | self-esteem | sexuality | bullying
domestic violence | relationships | bereavement | anger | workplace stress

As a B.A.C.P. accredited counsellor I practice in accordance with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Guidelines.  This applies to both online counselling and face to face work.

To comply with B.A.C.P.’s Code of Ethics, I receive regular supervision with another experienced professional therapist.  This means that I discuss the work I do with my clients, but your identity remains anonymous.

If I think that there is a serious risk to yourself or others I have a legal obligation to report this.  For example, if you disclose current child abuse.  I will discuss this with you first before reporting the situation to a third party wherever possible.  I will work ethically to help you and others feel safe.
